Change is the Only Constant in the Universe

What’s the only constant in the universe?

Change.

Why is change the only, immortal constant? Because everything is energy, light, vibration. Energy never stops moving, morphing, bouncing off itself, and endlessly Becoming. Does your life experience reflect constant, incessant change? If not, why are you resisting the unlimited possibilities available to you RIGHT NOW? Why are you feeding limitation with your attention, if that isn‘t the experience you say you want?

“What is my attention?” someone asked me the other day.

Your attention is what makes possibility, sensation, energy, feeling, judgment & consequence, or your financial circumstances tangible. Your attention is much more than what you visually see in front of you. Attention consists of your thoughts, words, intentions, wishes, hopes, prayers, judgments, fears, decisions, projections, and reflections. Well, honestly nothing exists in the absence of your attention, because everything is a creation of how and where you are directing vibration. Your attention is what makes possibility, sensation, energy, feeling, judgment & consequence, or your financial circumstances tangible.

So if you’re intending for a more harmonious and prosperous financial experience, yet your thoughts are firmly enveloped with fear for not having enough cash flow, you’re going to convince yourself that financial shifting is hard to do. In truth, your financial reality is in constant flux (as is everything). You’ve simply created the beliefs that money “happens out there,” brilliantly keeping your attention perfectly distracted in the illusion of a static financial experience.

In Becoming I compare intention and attention. Intention is an exciting way to try and convince yourself you’re creating change. Rarely though do intention and attention ever occupy the same space and time at the level of vibration. Typically intentions get formed in reaction to appearances and circumstances. You tell yourself you intend to manifest more money, when it’s your attention that is growing the illusion of lack. In the end, your intentions are actually further growing the illusion of lack and separation because they’re feeding all the places in your dream that receive your power.

Intentions convince you, the identity, that change requires your effort. It’s actually quite the opposite: Change requires you to simply acknowledge its constant presence and position yourself to get propelled in the experience that feels appealing. You’ll always know if you’ve given away your power to appearances
and circumstances when you feel like you need to intend for something better.

Freely giving your attention towards anything that doesn’t resonate with you is resistance for the experience you supposedly want. It’s much more than the adage “what you resist persists.” When you separate yourself from all you are, intentions become the crutch that give you the hope for attracting or manifesting a better experience. Failed intentions are in large part what keep you locked in the illusion of believing change is hard, and inevitably you’ll formulate new intentions to cover up the pain from the old, unsuccessful ones.

Ready to get out your surfboards?

Conversely, surfing the change is surrendering to the acknowledgment that everything is a demonstration and reflection of your power. A question I asked myself all the time when I discovered that a state of being is an illusion: If change is the only constant, how can I ride that wave without any intention or agenda whatsoever? I discovered that when I aligned my attention to a particular feeling, vibration, sensation, etc., I simply joyously acknowledged my power in every appearance and circumstance, while enjoying my connection with that energy. I surfed the change to the appearances of the vibration I cultivated with my attention and enjoyed that experience until I connected with something else that felt appealing. That’s what surfing the change means. It’s not about manifesting an experience because it’ll increase the quality of your life. Conversely, surfing the change is surrendering to the acknowledgment that everything is a demonstration and reflection of your power.

What does an experience you’d enjoy playing feel like? Can you keep your attention there, even in the midst of appearances and circumstances that don’t support that sensation?

Hey, it’s easy to give your power to limitation, pain, imbalance, feelings of lack, etc. It takes courage to stand before the appearances and circumstances that scare the living daylights out of you while essentially immersing yourself in an alternate universe that can only exist if you sincerely acknowledge everything is you and you are everything.

Play around with that until you show yourself even just a small glimpse of how easy it is to surf the universal, endless wave of unlimited possibilities.
