The Observer Effect
”The highest form of human intelligence is pure observation without judgments.” Krishnamurti
The Observer Effect dictates that absolutely nothing you experience is separate from you, ever. Even if you struggle with the idea that reality is a singular consciousness exploring possibility, or what I call The Dream; the mere acknowledgment that your observation creates your experience should be extremely impactful.
Should be are the key words.
Why isn’t the fact that your observation creates your experience more impactful to your everyday life?
Simple.
You’re still giving your power away to people, circumstances and the external world in general.
In Becoming, I say something along the lines of “your beliefs point your attention and your attention determines your beliefs.” It’s a vicious cycle of disempowerment. There’s no way to beat this cycle either. You can’t judge your experience and allow for it to dissolve. And that’s what belief does; it makes you judge anything and everything that isn’t in harmony with whatever chronic thoughts are recycling through your head.
It’s that exact friction that occurs when the supposed outside world pushes against your beliefs – inside of your body – that originates so much pain and feeling of disempowerment. You won’t be able to reconcile this process either. That is unless your beliefs are that you accept everything and everyone with unconditional love and appreciation, with no exceptions.
When you feel disempowered by reality, you have the tendency to tell more stories about hardship, fear, loss or even just recounting how much adversity you’ve had to endure. You’re also blinded by the unconditional fact that no matter how bad your life may seem, you’re immortally immersed in unlimited possibility for what your dream can reflect back to you.
Question: “So what creates what we call reality?”
Answer: Your attention.
Your attention IS the observer who collapses the infinite possibilities of your Natural State into the finite experience you create. However, you’re never stuck in any particular experience. As you dissolve your beliefs about money, for instance, your attention isn’t so easily seduced by lack or the idea that it takes massive amounts of energy to create abundance. The Observer (your attention) shifts its perspective to create something else; because the biochemical and emotional predisposition that made you see money in a certain light is no longer determining how abundance can appear in your reality.
In essence, you open back up to your Natural State of infinite possibilities as you acknowledge your power in whatever circumstances you’ve created. The more you acknowledge your power, the less the illusion of a separate “cause & effect” reality seduces your attention. When you can begin to deliberately apply the power of The Observer Effect by choosing what something feels like inside of your body and allowing it to manifest itself in your dream, you can write any experience you CHOOSE.
How much fun does that sound like?
Remember, even if you believe reality exists without your input, nothing that YOU experience about the big out there happens without your attention upon it. Only when you begin to acknowledge your power in the scariest places you’ve created in your dream will you reveal how amazing of a magician you are. You’ll effortlessly ease into appreciating everything about your dream. After all, every creation you pop into your experience takes the same amount of energy.
The more you appreciate everything you create, the easier it is to shift experiences, without ever needing to tell a story about it.
The Observer Effect is all about acknowledging that your feelings, beliefs and judgments are always being reflected back to you. The actual circumstances are a moot point. No matter what it is that you create in your dream; when you can begin to acknowledge your power and appreciate everything you’ve revealed about possibility, you can see new circumstances reflected back to you. Not better or worse experiences, just different. All of this is possible without ever needing or being required to perform any kind of physical task in the slightest. It’s all happening inside of your body, where reality is born.
As you experience an Emotional Charge (when reality and your beliefs clash,) you are providing yourself with the opportunity to acknowledge your power. When you acknowledge your power, you are creating change. It’s that simple.
Much fun to you
